Turkish Airlines was the recipient of the "Market Leadership Award 2011", given by Air Transport World, a leading magazine within the aviation industry. The presentation for the award was held in Washington D.C. and represents and internationally recognized achievement for the airline.

Surely, one could say that Istanbul has both old world and modern charm. In addition, there are plans for a fourth gateway that is planned for March 2011 that will begin in Los Angeles CA and stop in Istanbul.

Not only has there been a lot of sport celebrity multiple year contracts, but the company has expanded their fleet and make improvements all around.
